Description
A soothing Japanese wellness drink made with matcha, kombu, umeboshi, and ginger to support digestion and gentle weight loss.
Ingredients
1 tsp matcha powder
1 umeboshi plum or 1 tsp of its paste
A thumb-sized strip of dried kombu
1 thin slice fresh ginger, grated
8 oz warm water (160°F to 170°F)
Optional: splash of lemon juice or drizzle of honey
Instructions
1. Add a small piece of kombu to warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes to release minerals.
2. Remove kombu and stir in grated ginger while the water is still hot.
3. Mash umeboshi into the drink using a spoon until fully blended.
4. Add matcha powder and whisk until the drink turns smooth and frothy.
5. Taste, then add lemon juice or honey if desired.
